Adoption Information
Please read through this entire page before sending a payment.
This is what we feed our puppies. It is a high quality, no filler, whole food, dry kibble that the puppy has been consuming since turning 4 weeks of age. It can be difficult to locate in some areas, like in our city. Adoptive families will want to secure this food prior to bringing their puppy home because young systems can easily be upset by a total food change in addition to change in locale, people, and lack of siblings.
If however, it cannot be found in your area, any high quality, no filler, whole food dry kibble will work once the puppy's body becomes used to the new fare.
Ask us about our puppy feeding schedule so that you can continue without any drastic change, aside from possible food change.

A.K.C. registration is not offered on all of our purebred Beagle puppies.
If a puppy is being offered with registration, their individual listing will indicate registration being available on the information found under that particular dog's picture on our Available Dogs & Puppies page. If there is no mention of A.K.C. eligibility by their individual photo, that means that we are not offering registration for that puppy or dog, regardless of the parents being registered. All of our kennel's Beagles are registered with A.K.C., but not all litters have registration approved by us. Please call, text, or e-mail with any questions you may have about registration availability.
That said, just because a puppy is not marked as registerable does not mean that the puppy is a mix of breeds, or that s/he is inferior quality dog! No! As stated above, all of our kennel's Beagles are registered with A.K.C. and all but one has a group of permanent champions in their 4-generation pedigree. This means that the parents are purebred Beagles. But, the only value A.K.C. registration brings is that it allows a dog can enter as a purebred Beagle in A.K.C. events that they show potential for winning or have A.K.C. registerable progeny. Otherwise, "grade Beagles" (a Beagle who is not registered) can make just as much of an impact in your home &/or your rabbit trails as a papered Beagle. Actually, if meant for companionship, the grade Beagles should be preferred, as they are not possessed by the hunting gene and is more apt to love being a couch potato and bed buddy. Hunters are not always inclined to wind down happily to a sedentary lifestyle.
We register the litters who stand the best chance of winning competitions and events. It falls under the category of selective breeding. We do not breed dogs of questionable quality. Only the best are bred because, if not going for breed improvement, there is no reason to breed, We occasionally have litters that we choose not to register (even if the parents bear full registration) because they are the ones who will thrive by being a companion dog. We also have litters of professional Beagles who make names for themselves and come from legendary stock. These Beagles positively live for the hunt with evidence shown whilst the puppy is still in the <8 week nursery.
Adoptable puppies will have been wormed four times with the wide-spectrum dewormer, Drontal liquid. They will have already seen our veterinarian and will receive their first puppy vaccinations at 8 weeks of age if being shipped via plane or professional transport van, or on the day that the puppy is released to their adoptive family if the puppy is being picked up in person. We do this so as to give adoptive and individuals ample opportunity to secure a veterinarian for the second shots that are due in 2-3 weeks from the day of pickup.
We use a wide spectrum 7-way canine vaccine that includes protection against 4 strains of Leptospirosis and Coronavirus. The puppy's first immunization aids in the prevention of disease caused by Canine Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Type 2b, 4 strains of Leptospirosis (L. Canicola, L.Grippotyphosa, L. Icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. Pomona,) and Coronavirus. Modified live and killed Coronavirus are included. We provide families with absolute proof of this vaccination so that the new veterinarian will know exactly what the puppy already received and can go forward with confidence.
Adoptive families need to follow up with two more immunization sets BEFORE the puppy turns 16 weeks of age. Your veterinarian will need to again vaccinate the puppy two to three (2-3) weeks after we administer the initial dosage. Make that appointment before the puppy is picked up because some veterinary practices are booking for future months.
At eight (8) weeks of age, the puppy will be available for pick up and will be released with any possible paperwork and proof of the immunization that the puppy received in front of you. This age marker is non-negotiable. No puppy shall be removed from it's dam and siblings until s/he reaches the 8-weeks mark.

The result of allowing dam/puppy to remain together for eight (8) weeks: she not only shows her puppies how to properly play, but shows them acceptable dog behaviour from unacceptable behaviours.
Aside from nursing her litter, the last week or so is one of the most important times in your puppy's life, as they learn dog social skills first from their mother! For that reason, we firmly believe that the dam must have eight (8) weeks of access to her puppies. We do not demand she stays with them after weaning, but she can choose to remain close or return back to the "community" pack that have free run in our place.
